Bowl Turning

Bowl turning is a great way to learn the various techniques associated with the face plate and the four jaw chuck which are used to hold the vessels while we do our work. Throughout the class, students will learn the parts of the lathe and its accessories as they turn various shaped bowls. A large part of the weekend is devoted to learning to grind and sharpen the tools, which will allow the student to turn a beautiful bowl, and will open up a multitude of turning possibilities.
